Permanent Makeup "Clocks" music video and new album release show information
Our long running band Permanent Makeup has completed all work on our new album and the July 24, 2026 is imminent at the time of this typing.
We completed initial recordings of music for this project in January of 2020, and then we had a world breaking pandemic and Susan and I having kids in May of 2020 and December of 2022. when we got vaccinated and got to practicing and building together again as a band, our focus was playing together, getting ready for shows and even following the threads of new riffs. We were very fortunate to get help from family, friends and babysitters to provide childcare while we could go out to the shed and shred together.
We finally got back in album mode at some point in 2025 and started going through what we had done and figuring out what we still had to do. Vocals, more guitar shredding, mixing and mastering.
It's done now, we love what we came up with and excited to share the sounds. We have planned a release show for July 24th in St Petersburg, FL where we live:

One of my main strategies in booking a night of music is to curate eclectic sounds. We are so fortunate to have our friend Ironing as part of the show.
Dagger is an incredible band and one of my fav's in Florida. We met the night we played a benefit for Planned Parenthood together in Lakeland a couple years ago (I think that's the first time we saw them...) and they are incredible to witness live.
I put together a music video for a song from the new album, Clocks. note: The concrete cornucopia is pure Concrete Peninsula fodder and I'm hoping it survives for generations to come.
